Ouachita Cadets Set Rifle Drill at State Fair

Ouachita College cadets will perform a rifle drill to music during Educational and Children's Day at the State Fair. The act features 288 movements without a command, timed to music, as Ouachita dismisses school for the day and travels from Arkadelphia on a special train to the fair.

The Bank of Prescott installed a patent money changer, a first for the area. The keyboard spans from one cent to one dollar and when a key is pressed, exact change drops into a bottom receptacle. For 98c, a half, a quarter, two dimes and three coppers appear. The device speeds making change and paying small checks with reliable accuracy.

Zenith Literary Society Elects Prescott Officers

The Zenith Literary Society of Prescott school met yesterday and organized by electing officers: President Ellis Butcher, Vice President Claude Newth, Secretary Mary Milburn, Marshal Leonard Hamby, and Critic Mable Hale.
