Park Hotel directors elected and opening date planned

Stockholders meet at the Park Hotel and elect a new board: HE Bemis M W Greeson S R Briggs Jnc A Davis and Thomas C McRae Jr. Bemis may become president. The Park Hotel name is adopted and plumbing work advances with completion hoped next week. Ground grading and cleanup underway. Inspections of military units and officers noted with dates in March and April.

State Charitable Board Adjourns After Routine Session

Abe Steinell Plans Remodel and New Tenants in Little Rock

Abe Steinell, owner of the City Hardware and Arkansas Pump and Pipe site at Second and Main, may remodel or rebuild and relocate the Little Rock Trust Company, a major shareholder, after the current lease ends mid-summer. The Mardi Gras 1909 celebration drew a large orderly crowd with police pleased and no major disorder. Maskers from Argenta, linked to the Ku Klux Klan, joined the events but were managed by hotel security, and the Pere Merehefits Association praised the turnout given only a week to prepare.
