Presbyterians to Raise 8000 for New Church Building
At a meeting of church officials and members the Presbyterian Church selected a committee to raise 8000 dollars for a new building. The old building and manse were destroyed by fire and 2000 dollars insurance plus 8000 dollars in funds may allow construction. The site is likely the old East Elm and Third Streets corner. the East Main and Second Streets lot is leased to the Second Baptist. The pastor will live at the East Main and Second Streets residence, also owned by the church, and the manse will not be rebuilt.
