A Prescott District semi annual meeting of the Woman's Missionary Society is scheduled at the Methodist Church next Tuesday through Thursday. Hog Theft Case Filed in Supreme Court
The transcript in a case over the alleged theft of three hogs has been filed in Supreme Court. George Helmering H. L. Yates and John Kennedy were convicted in Monroe county of stealing three hogs from William Scott and sentenced to one year in the penitentiary. They deny guilt. H. R. Carter Highway Engineer left for Leslie to aid road promotion from that city through Rupert to Scotland in Van Buren County.

Governor Relieves Leabil Richards on Bond
In Little Rock on June 24 the governor pardoned A C Richards of Mississippi county releasing liability on a $200 bond for a negro named Will Cravens who walked from the courthouse after conviction. Also granted pardons to A L Gravelle Benton County for grand larceny and Hobson Beavers Polk County for manslaughter both sentenced to terms in the penitentiary.
