Nevada County Establishment and Size Rules

The County of Nevada was created by an 1871 act taking territory from Hempstead Ouachita and Columbia. Arkansas constitution requires counties to be at least 600 square miles and 5000 inhabitants with certain exceptions and changes allowed by the general assembly.
