Little Rock reports the second week of the University of Arkansas Summer School opens today under Mrs B W Torreyson of Little Rock. There is no tuition charge and total six month term expenses may not exceed 40 dollars. Over a dozen secondary grade courses offer credits toward college entrance and other courses provide credits toward a Bachelor of Education. Special emphasis is on psychology history of education supervision administration and methods and management.
In Little Rock on June 14 friends of statewide prohibition propose a memorial for late State Senator T. C. White of Pine Bluff. Instead of a monument, funds will build a home for his family and pay his debts, honoring his work for prohibition. A committee leads the drive with contributions directed to M. E. Bloom, Pine Bluff.
Little Rock June 19 Arkansas youths and misses planning to enter eastern colleges began entrance examinations at Little Rock high school. Arkansas institutions require eastern prep school tests for admission. Students may take four studies each summer. This year attendance is lower than normal. Most 191 graduates heading to the University of Arkansas.
