City saves over old system on prisoner meals

Little Rock reports the city saved from May to June totaling 1 489.14 over the old contract. Eleven months of feeding prisoners produced an average monthly gain of 155. The May cost per meal was 2 cents with no complaint about quantity or quality of food served.

Department protects consumers from poor feed in Arkansas

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture reports action to remove over five tons of mouldy or deficient feed from the market.
