Special to The News Little Rock June 14 Oklahoma and Kansas wheat harvests start this week with a U. S. call through employment services. Wages rise from 3 to 4 dollars daily for common labor indicating strong demand. John Mitchell of Kansas City, zone clearance officer, arrives to supervise recruitment of 600 white harvest hands in north central Oklahoma and 100 in south central Kansas beginning about June 18. Workers should enroll at the state labor commissioner’s office for cards, aiding placement ahead of the harvest.
