June 14. Little Rock reports Nevada county is asked to raise twenty thousand dollars of the state's million and a half for the American Red Cross by the state convention today. The appeal aims to fund relief efforts across the region.

Ideal warehouse systems observed in Atlanta and New Orleans

Commissioner Page examined Atlanta and New Orleans warehousing to guide Arkansas plans. Atlanta operates a private $4,000,000 facility storing 200000 bales with 20 cent insurance, while New Orleans state city project costs $3,000,000 with 124 units, a 1,600 bale capacity per unit, and aims for one million bales total, plus a grain elevator and 30 cent insurance. Warehouse receipts are negotiable nationwide at 5 percent.

Argenta Man Presents Thirteen-Pound Cabbage

C Youngblood of Argenta donated a thirteen pound cabbage to the State Agricultural Department. The Flat Dutch head, priced at ten cents a pound, would yield about $1.90 and feed a company of soldiers. The specimen, part of six thousand plants in the Argenta garden, was processed by Commissioner Page and placed on exhibit at the capitol.

Air Raid Casualties Rise in London Seizure

London reports 97 dead and 437 wounded from today raid. Officials describe bombs in the east end, about 15 minutes of fighting as German aircraft were met by anti air guns and patrolling fighters. Hospitals report dozens of serious injuries and multiple child casualties.

Relatives Aid In Caring For Inmates At State Asylum

Ashton Vin cenheller of the State board of control will tour 25 counties to urge county judges to pay for indigent relatives in the State Insane Asylum. An old statute permits the state to require those able to contribute to maintenance. Additional counties will be canvassed by Mr Hall and Mr McCarroll. Expected revenue about 28 000 dollars annually.
