University Board to choose new president at June meeting
Little Rock June 14 An adjourned University Board of Trustees meeting in the governor's office on June 26 will report progress on selecting a new president. After Judge J N Tillman declined and agreed to serve until his successor is elected a special faculty committee and a teachers committee will screen candidates. The board favors nominating one of the country’s top university men and may offer up to 10000 per year. The sub committee searches nationwide and will not rush. It is not a political move. progressive members seek the best candidate.
