Requisition Issued For Escapee Walter Christopher
A requisition has been issued on the Missouri governor for Walter Christopher, an escapee from the penitentiary sought in Jefferson county for grand larceny. J. E. Little Rock Board Purchases Fire Department Motor Apparatus
Little Rock's Board of Public Affairs has bought new motor apparatus for the fire department totaling $13,000 including an auto-tractor for the aerial truck and an auto combination truck and hose wagon. Titanium and alloyed rails improve steel quality in 1910
The United States Geological Survey notes rail experiments with titanium and other alloys. Over 250000 long tons of ferrotitanium strengthened rails were rolled in 1910, plus 150000 tons with nickel or nickel chromium, and about 40000 tons with chromium manganese vanadium. Some makers advertise titanium steel for impurity removal improving steel quality.
