Indians from San Ildefonso join Painted Desert exhibit
Six Indians from the San Ildefonso pueblo in New Mexico arrive at the Panama-California Exposition in San Diego to work on The Painted Desert exhibit for the Santa Fe Railway. Led by chief Julian Martinez, they will build dwellings and a stockade and later be joined by more workers, including squaws, to show traditional building, pottery, and embroidery techniques to visitors.
