From Sept 1 to June 12 under Dr Green the State In sane Asylum received 449 patients and discharged 287, leaving 1207 under treatment. By July 15 all state insane patients will be accommodated and a new dairy barn building modified for 152 consumptive patients will isolate them with ventilated wards and a long screened porch.
A requisition from the governor of Indiana seeks the arrest and return of Andrew Summit charged with deserting his wife Helen Summit at Vincennes Knox County December 15 19 WI. It is alleged another woman was involved and he left nine days after their child birth. His father says Summit is in Hot Springs Arkansas. Thomas Robertson is named as agent.
Noah Standridge, arrested with Louis Gunter north of Rusellville, is uncle to Yates Standridge, who sits in Arkansas penitentiary for 52 years. Four years earlier he was convicted of murdering an elderly couple near the Newton county line. The posse subdued moonshine operators Owen Standridge and his son Jim, who fled as deputies closed in.
