Made trip in auto to Booneville for burial
Fort Smith undertaker Jesse G Putman, attending the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association convention in Little Rock, received a request to hasten to Booneville by car to prepare the body of Joe Bibb, a prominent citizen, for burial. The trip covered about 40 miles over rough roads, taking just over three hours. Bibb was a relative of Treasurer Ed L Yates, who left Booneville yesterday afternoon.

Fire hits Theatorium and White Bros store on West Main
A fire last night on West Main street damaged the Theatorium owned by Denman and Harrell and the White Bros store. White Bros stock and fixtures suffered near total loss valued at about 24 000 with 15 000 insured. The White Bros building owned by R P Arnold was heavily damaged with 3 500 - 2 000 insured. The moving picture building owned by Judge Denman was front burnt and damaged. The cause could not be learned and restoration plans for both venues were announced.
