Col Stroup tightens guard inspections Arkansas
Col Henry Stroup of the Second Regiment Arkansas National Guard has instituted quarterly inspections to keep companies to the department standard. Maj J L Compere led the battalion inspection last week and Maj Fred Green of Harrison will inspect next. Lieut Col Charles D James filled in while out of state, touring Morriton Russellville Ozark and Fort Smith en route to inspect local units.

Typhoid Prophylactic Shipped to Arkansas National Guard
The War Department sent 14,000 cubic centimeters of typhoid prophylactic to Arkansas National Guard HQ for the second treatment of Guard members. Early reports say the first treatment was successful and the results are believed beneficial. Arkansas troops appear to be the only ones receiving this thorough treatment with the new serum.
