A list from the Prescott Public Neis of the session just closed names two pupils not in the group of 11 Pupis of Benool. The group reads left to right Vaughn and Mary Milburn. Bes is noted as not in the group.
The board of directors announces the Prescott school faculty for grades 1 through 11 and the colored school staff. Superintendent Dunaway heads the faculty with teachers for 1st through 11th grades including Mrs Chappell 1st grade Miss Royston 2nd grade Miss Marsh 3rd grade Miss Dillon 4th grade Mrs Hate 5th grade Mrs Munn 6th grade Miss Cornel 7th grade J M Thomas 8th grade Miss Middlebrooks 9th or 10th grade and 11th grade. Colored school Principal J D Shackelford with assistants Jno Bazzel Mattie Boyd and Ida L Johnson.
Edgar Oakley, after losing both legs in a recent railroad accident near Rogers, marries Pearl Lennox of the same town. The bride chose to stay by his side and nurse him through recovery, while Oakley, a former brakeman, looks to regain strength and a future earnings.
Little Rock June 4. The State Tax Commission will begin inspecting railroad property lists filed with the commission next Monday. After this review, Commissioner Gates will travel each line to verify property, aiming to uncover untaxed holdings and boost state revenue. Previously, assessment was handled by the governor, auditor, and secretary of state with little time devoted to it.
At a meeting last night the Masonic lodge elected officers for the ensuing term including W M J Dawson S W C J Wilson and other posts such as Secy J M Winser Treas TC McRae DD Whitten and Tyler J Murns.
FE C Simmons of Simmons Hardware announced a new national politics party named the Business Men's Party at a St Louis banquet. The aim is less and better legislation amid protests against railroad rate legislation. Plans call for a national launch during the St Louis centennial next October with invitations to 100000 business groups to visit and form the party.
At about 4 o clock Thursday morning Tire discovered in the Heart of Hope s business section gutted the one and two story buildings housing the F rey Furniture Co. The fire threatened the entire block but the fire company and volunteers saved the rest of the block.
The University of Arkansas commencement program opens tonight and runs through Wednesday with graduation exercises next Wednesday morning. Dr Charles Foster Smith of Wisconsin will deliver the commencement address. Governor Dona ughey will present diplomas. The schedule includes the College Widow presentation, Baccalaureate sermon by Byron Hoover De Ment, and various YWCA and athletic events before class day and senior debate at the end.

A Steele preaches at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m with Sunday school at 9 45 a.m Epworth League at 3 p m.
An important meeting of fruit growers is held this afternoon in Ola to arrange marketing of the fruit and berry crop. The Yell County growers expect the crop to bring many thousands of dollars into their coffers this season.

At Bentonville June 5 the Benton County Horticulture Society debated strict fruit grading and securing ample rail cars to move the crop. The group aims for rigid grading to boost Benton county apples’ reputation as a quality product and anticipates 10 000 or more cars shipped with strong markets ahead.
