Richmond June 2 General Bennet H Young of Louisville Ky was today re elected commander in chief of the United Confederate Veterans in annual reunion here Birmingham Ala was selected as the reunion city for 1916 W N Brandon of Little Rock was elected commander in chief of the United Sons of Confederates Other officers elected were Ernest G Baldwin Roanoke Va commander of the Army of Northern Virginia Creed Caldwell Pine Bluff Ark commander of the Trans Mississippi department and Dr Thomas M Owens Montgomery Alabama custodian in chief After spirited contest a resolution was adopted greeting President Wilson General Young was re elected after a contest with General Felix H Robertson of Crawford Texas Rain tore through the day hindering events but preparations continued for the main events including a military parade at 1 o clock.

Position of Supervisor Will Be Continued in Arkansas

Hot Springs Citizens Protest Unheeded
A Hot Springs delegation of fourteen, led by attorney Leo McLaughlin, protested the Iron Mountain railroad plan to build a freight depot two blocks from the former site. The Arkansas Railroad Commission heard evidence and ordered the depot to be erected on the old site.
