Promoters of the Chautauqua to be held June 13 discuss a ticket sales contest with prizes for the top selling young ladies. First prize six dollars in gold, second two fifty, plus 5 percent of total sales for all participants. Contest closes June 1. Committee members Murrah Cornish McRae announce prizes and a list of Prescott supporters. Programs noted, tent to be set in City Park with improved conveniences for the week.

Little Rock June 2 The Democratic state convention adopted a platform endorsing President Wilsons national administration. It calls for tariff reform to fix a fair assessment basis and uniform duties, a state budget system, a cash basis for state finances, and a primary election bill. It urges bond deposits for corporate bonds, a pardoning board with publicity, school tax increases via amendments, more state university support, and a constitutional convention. It supports a six percent interest bond fund for the permanent school fund, retrenchment and accountability, marketing bureaus for farm products, prison reform, immigration promotion, road improvements, and limits on appropriations to match state income.
