With two days remaining, voters anticipate a major turnout tomorrow and Wednesday for the proposal. The special ballot offer is set to close Thursday at 9 00 a m. Ballot access and deadline details are emphasized for all eligible residents.

Circuit court opened at 10 o clock with Judge Carter presiding. W T Hart named grand jury foreman and a full list of jurors from Albany Boughton Emmet Georgia Jackson Missouri and Parker was read. Petit jurors from Alabama and Missouri were also listed. Several criminal pleas were heard with fines of 10 and costs 42.70. Railroad case settled for 65 percent. Bank verdict for 132.71. Accounts commissioners filed final report and adjourned.

Saturday afternoon a fire destroyed the Gast Elm street residence of John M. Milburn, with flames leaping from an oil stove spark igniting clothing and woodwork. The house and contents were lost, an insurance policy noted, as neighbors watched the dramatic, swift scene.
Prof. D. Luncs superintendent of the Arkansas School for the Blind returned from Indianapolis where he attended a meeting of the American Association of Instructors for the Blind. At the Governor of Arkansas invitation presented by Mr. Lucas the association chose Little Rock as the next meeting place to convene in 1910 with meetings held every two years.
