The Board of Charities will meet in regular session Monday March 2 with C Parsons of Melbourne temporarily sitting for Thomas J Williamson who resigned and left the state. Parsons may vote now and the board will address major items including new buildings at the Insane Asylum and a ward building at the blind school. Capt Braley returns after his wife’s death and will report on repairs and construction. The Insane Asylum inspection will occur in the afternoon and Emma Morrow case from Izard county may not be revisited in March. Dan J Lackey pledges to seek redress if wronged. The asylum superintendent Dr Stinson will join the noon meal and attend the meeting.

Third Brother Dies in Cotton Belt Yard Accident in Texarkana
Tim H. Mangan, engine fireman born in Texarkana, was mangled under a locomotive at the Cotton Belt yards in Texarkana on February 24. He died later that day at the company hospital.
