In observance of New Year's Day all city banks will close tomorrow and the post office will operate with Sunday hours. Rural carriers will not make deliveries and the usual holiday spirit will prevail.
Self Culture Club Meets for By Law Enforcement
The Self Culture Club met with Mrs. Sam O Logan on Thursday to discuss enforcing by laws and renewing a request to the city council to stop blasting the wild cat whistle on New Year’s Eve. Guests included Mrs. Charles F Pittman and Miss Julia Logan. After the program, refreshments were served and the club adjourned to meet with Mrs. Dan Pittman on January 18.
