New York, Dec 21. A sharp early advance gave way to a de moralizing break as Lansing's statement circulated. By day's end January cotton fell to 15.09 cents and May to 16.45 cents, with the market irregular and highly excited amid active selling and stop loss orders.
Tulsa reports Oklahoma National Bank of Skiatook robbed before daylight. Bandits blew the safe and escaped with 20000 in currency and silver. No crew left. suspected getaway in an automobile. Wires cut into Skiatook, Tulsa crews left behind. Officials believe they fled toward Osage Hills where outlaws have operated for decades.
Little Rock reports a rapid rise in Arkansas auto ownership. 1914 saw 5642 licenses issued, 1915 rose to 8021, up 42 percent, and by 1916 there were 15400, an 89 percent jump. Projections reach 25000 licenses in 1917 and 40000 in 1918. Recommendations call for clerical staff expansion and altering license funds and taxes by horsepower with extra charges for stages and taxicabs. State inspectors tied to delinquents may be funded by fees.

In St Louis a U S District Court judge ordered the foreclosure sale of the Missouri Pacific Iron Mountain railway system to aid reorganizing the company under the state approved plan. Minimum prices total 49450000 with sales to occur in St Louis and Topeka to satisfy bonds held by major New York trustees.
Little Rock December 21 no appointments have been announced to fill the vacancies in the medical staff of the State Hospital for Nervous Diseases. Five vacancies have occurred since the retirement of Dr Bledsoe and yesterday two attendants a man and his wife quit the service. Dr Arkabauer is only temporarily in charge as Superintendent.
A pretty wedding occurred yesterday evening on route 3 near Hope. H. G. Cofield of Nevada county and Miss Ruth Monts of Dyke Springs were united in a ceremony conducted by Rev. LeRoy Thompson at the bride's parents home. The house was prettily decorated and witnessed by a large assembly of friends. The couple left for their new home on route 5 out of Emmet.

He cites voter support for road improvement, mentions possible board changes, and lists unclaimed letters ending Dec 18, 1916, urging recipients to claim them or they go to the dead letter office.
