Little Rock December 20 Dr J Le on former superintendent of the Hospital for Nervous Diseases now retires from state service and moves to private practice in Hot Springs. His rapid growth leads to a partnership with Dr M Law former medical director of the Levy hospital who resigns to join Green in the firm Green and Lautman. Dr Lautman a Yale and Mt graduate.

Turkey Turkeys and a Stolen Gobbler Fable
Sam Sewell of Redland brought turkeys to Prescott and sold them to dealers. He bought a large gobbler for his Xmas table, left it in a sack at a store, then returned after fifteen minutes to find it missing. John Young was arrested along with the turkey, allegedly taken without permission. The tale ends with a satirical moral about home turkeys versus a store gobbler.

Accidents in State Woodworking Plants
Little Rock reports figures by the Commissioner of Labor for the year ending June 30, 1916. In saw and planing mills there were 143 non fatal and 17 fatal accidents, with three fatal cases from falls into vats in veneering plants and scalding. Cooperage plants had 151 non fatal and 1 fatal accident, and other woodworking plants recorded 173 non fatal and one fatal.

Little Rock reports State Bank Commissioner John M. Davis closed two additional small banks. Bank of Ulm, taken over Aug 15 1915, paid final dividend bringing depositor recovery to 39 percent after a daylight robbery trapped the cashier in the vault. Higden Bank, taken over July 6 1914, delivered 24 percent prior and 17 12 percent latest dividends, with initial liabilities totaling 8 586 71 dollars.
