Shipment brings five thousand auto tags for 1914
Little Rock reports R G Dye, chairman of the State Highway Commission, has received a shipment of five thousand automobile license tags due January 1, 1914. In the year just ending 3612 licenses were issued, compared with about 2500 the previous year. The license costs $10, collected by the county for the owner’s machine, with halfpaid to the county and half to the state.

Selling Contracts in Violation of Law Reported
The State Banking Department warns that the National Mercantile Company of Vancouver is selling loan contracts in large blocks to an Arkansas party who resells them in the state. The company has refused to comply with the Blue Sky law. Bank Commissioner John M. Davis cautions buyers they do so at their own risk and seeks the name of the purchaser reselling these contracts.
