Arkansas executes Arthur Hodges for murder in Little Rock
Arthur Hodges was electrocuted today at the state penitentiary in Little Rock at 9:30 a.m. after the Arkansas Supreme Court declined to intervene further. The case followed Hodges's conviction in Clark County for the murder of a deputy constable and his appeals remained exhausted.

Eleven Convicts Sent To State Penitentiary From Miller Co
Eleven convicts were taken to the state penitentiary yesterday from Texarkana by Deputy Sheriff John S. Strange of Miller County. The Miller County Circuit Court, in session four weeks, adjourned to the June term. Dan Price, a young farmer, received 21 years for second degree murder after a reversed Supreme Court appeal and a new trial found him guilty for killing a man at Doddridge. Former Mandeville postmaster T. M. Cady drew one year for perjury after testifying to a gambling inquiry.

Kirk takes permanent post with Agricultural Extension Dept
Little Rock December 18 Kirk who recently resigned as a member of the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce has taken a permanent position with the Agricultural Extension Department of the International Harvester Company of Chicago.
