Woodmen of World Protest Against Rate Increase
Little Rock December meeting of about one hundred Woodmen of the World delegates organized the Protective League of Woodmen and Woodmen Circles. A 34 to 29 vote demanded the resignation of H. W. Applegate for backing new rates. An executive committee was elected to oppose rate increases and salaries at the Sovereign Camp. Resolutions protested against Chicago actions and against reelection of any paid Woodmen employee as a delegate.
