Berlin reports say the cabinet strengthens its authority and denies plans to convene the Reichstag. The Soldiers and Workers Council invited Bolshevik envoys Joffe and Radek to Russia, but the group was halted by German troops, as Joffe and Radek moved toward Dyinsk.
A reader in Choctaw, Arkansas voices fierce anti tax sentiment against the new constitution. He rails at taxes and bonds, opposes road and school levies, fears women’s votes on finances, and pleads to save money for a rainy day while lamenting taxes as bondage and damnation. He prefers roads and public improvements but insists on no tax increases.
Dr W S Solf the foreign affairs minister has handed in his resignation and the cabinet has accepted it.
