Good Fellows Club organizes aid for Prescott children
Prescott businessmen form the Good Fellows Club to reach every child likely to miss Santa Claus this Christmas. A finance committee led by Dr. L. McRae and R. L. Blakely will solicit funds, with ward committees in four districts to identify those in need. Last Christmas the club aided eleven families, spending over a hundred dollars on clothing, toys, nuts, and candy.

Chancellor Hollweg Ready to Enter Peace Negotiations
Special to The News from Little Rock reports Chancellor von Bethmann Hollweg informing ambassadors from the United States Switzerland and Spain that Germany is ready to begin peace talks if lasting peace is assured. He said notes should be transmitted to the entente powers with Turkey Austria and Bulgaria to join.

18000 Automobile Tags Delivered for 1917 in Arkansas
18000 automobile tags for the year 1917 are to be delivered to the State Highway Commissioner in Little Rock. Issuance starts January first. In 1916 the office ordered 11000 tags and likely more orders will follow as estimates in 1917 reach around 26000 cars.

Prominent Couple Wed in Little Rock Tonight
Miss Madelyn Cribbs Davis and Edward C. Johnston wed at 7 in a Little Rock home, conducted by Rev Hay Watson Smith. After the ceremony they depart for the North and will reside in Detroit Michigan after January 1 at the Madison Apartments. Davis is a noted Little Rock society figure. Johnston recently directed the Western Newspaper Union office in Detroit.
