Deutschland Returns Safely From U S Voyage
Berlin reports the German commercial submarine Deutschland reached the Weser mouth at noon ending its second U S voyage. The sub completed the trip in 19 days from New London, beating its prior eastward record of 23 days from Baltimore. Westward runs lasted 16 and 21 days.

Dermott Arkansas dispatch reports A C Barnett county manager says J G Dubage state campaign manager wired that Chicot county won the prize for the largest percent vote for amendment No 12 the educational amendment. Chicot cast 92 percent of its vote. Three townships two in Crittenden and one in Pulaski voted unanimously and receive prizes. Desha and Crittenden counties were second and third with 89 and 87 percent.

Tribble Funeral Held in Athens for Rep Samuel Tribble
The funeral of Representative Samuel J. Tribble, who died Friday in Washington after a stroke, was held at noon in Athens. He was laid to rest in Oconee cemetery vault pending permanent burial. Hundreds from surrounding counties attended, with the congressional delegation and local groups serving as honorary escort.
