Lloyd George to form new British cabinet in coalition

London December 6 David Lloyd George has overthrown the Asquith cabinet and will become prime minister. The new government will be a coalition approached amid factional differences. The king summoned party leaders to Buckingham Palace for a crisis meeting with Asquith, Lloyd George, Bonar Law, Balfour, and Henderson present.

Presidential electors meet in January in Little Rock

The governor issued a proclamation declaring the official vote for presidential electors in the recent election and setting the second Monday in January as the meeting date in Little Rock. The notice asks for those with notes or accounts due to come forward to settle.

State Bank Commissioner reports as of Nov. 17 total deposits in Little Rock state banks amount to 14,511,939.11 excluding four national banks with legal reserve at 28.7 percent. Loans total 2,801,994.44 on cotton and 2,0 on real estate. individual deposits reach 4,588,072.45. Overdrafts have been reduced to a negligible level.
