Cumberland Presbyterians Win in Church Property Case
Judge J D Shaver ruled in favor of the Cumberland Presbyterians in a test case over church property, holding that union with the Northern Presbyterians did not carry Cumberland property. The decision will go to the Supreme Court. Other decrees followed in Loomis vs Jones Santifer vs Jones and Hlood vs Cotton Oil Co. Arkansas National Guardsmen to inspect at 7 30 p m Friday December 16 at the armory.

Jury Stands Nine for Conviction in Ellis Murder Case
After about seventy hours of deliberation the jury in the Ellis murder case was discharged at noon without a verdict. The initial vote favored conviction for six jurors while three jurors favored manslaughter. Efforts are under way to secure bail for Ellis.
