Little Rock Dec 1 There is an acting governor in Arkansas the Hon Lee Cazort speaker of the last House of Representatives He is 29 the law requires 30 to be governor He acts in absence of governor and Senate president pro tem Gov Brough travels to New York to deliver memorial address and Sen Moncrief is in Memphis This is the first acting speaker since 1907 Cazort signed warrants and appointed several justices of the peace He has abandoned law to farm at Cabin Creek Johnson county He plans to run for State Senate He promotes the Southern Stock Growers Association meeting in Little Rock Feb 6-8 urging farmers to attend and bring blooded stock to prove Arkansas can compete with the best.

Second Election for State Mine Inspector in Rock
The State Federation of Labor reported to Acting Gov. Cazort the Nov. 24 referendum for State mining inspector produced no majority among sixteen candidates. Top contenders were Jesse Redyon of Hartford and Claude Speegel of Huntington, with a second election set for December 10 and results due December 15. The governor plans to appoint the winner chosen by the miners.
