Organize Prescott Live Stock and Breeders Assn Formed
The Prescott Live Stock and Breeders Association held a November 28 1914 meeting at the court house. They adopted a constitution and bylaws, elected M W Greeson as president C H Volway as vice president W S Roe as secretary treasurer and named a five member organizing committee. Enrollment open to December 29 with dues-based membership. A program committee was appointed for upcoming livestock and poultry topics and a December 29 meeting at 10 oclock at the Prescott court house.

A stout colored woman and her little boy attempted to buy a Louisville goin and comin ticket without stating a destination. The ticket agent insisted on a city name, the boy finally suggested Louisville, and the woman cautioned him to stop. The agent issued the Louisville goin and comin ticket.

Seven Car Loads of Horses Shipped to War Markets
More than seven carloads of horses have been sent from Little Rock Conway and Benton to St Louis and Memphis dealers to meet contracts from European nations at war. Buyers seek 1100 pound plus artillery horses with prices 125 to 140, cavalry horses 100 to 126, while mules are scarce. Government inspectors screened consignments for mouth and hoof disease, holding some shipments up to ten days.
