Jealous druggist shoots self after telephone threat
In Pine Bluff a prominent druggist T M Leibig was found in his room with a bullet wound near the heart. He is not seriously hurt and may recover. He had been infatuated with a young woman who declined his advances, warning that she would regret it. A phone threat preceded the incident with a pistol shot. Runaway Wagon Scatters Wreckage in Prescott Streets
A delivery wagon hitched to P Hardware Co. horses bolted near the store and dashed along Front street toward Wes Main. The wagon struck a second wagon in front of Prescott Mercantile Co., breaking the bed and wheels into three sections. The front section with the horse continued until Ed Kimbrough stopped it. Wagon makers at Prescott Hardware quickly repaired the pieces for business.
