Ice and fog trigger heavy damage in Pottstown area
Early morning ice and all day fog sparked nine accidents in and around Pottstown involving trucks and autos. Seven trucks and five cars were damaged with eight vehicles leaving roads and a tanker narrowly escaping a plunge into Kirkwood Dam. No serious injuries reported though multiple drivers were ejected or thrown from cabs. One tractor tank lost 3000 gallons of fuel as it crashed into a concrete railing on Route 322 near Marcus Hook. Would-be thief flees store after forgetting change
