Sewark WN. C. Sept. 2 Associated Press Noel W. Pierce Montelatr youth charged with kidnapping a 6 year old Mary Day and Raymond Pierce is sane enough to plead to the indictments. Judge Caffey sets next Thursday for testimony on the question of Noel's sanity before trial. The prisoner refused to answer today. a plea of not guilty was entered.
Waukegan Ill Sept This is Associated Press report that Shem Holt and his stepdaughter Mrs Clara Holt of Chicago were charged with the murder of Mrs Atti Holt wife and mother. A warrant issued today states Albert Marko the son in law was arrested. Mrs Holt was shot yesterday at the family summer home at Fox Lake. Holt and his stepdaughter say Mrs Holt died by suicide after a family quarrel, but one of three bullets struck her heart in the skull, a detail State's Attorney Smith says could not be due to self defense.
Six members of one family were injured when their automobile was struck by an interurban car six miles west of Dayton. Witnesses described the collision as the car being attacked by the trolley. Washington Sept 21 After forfeiting a collateral bond of 35 dollars Na Smith of Baltimore narrowly missed President Coolidge yesterday. Today the forfeiture was set aside and Smith stood trial. he was fined 35 dollars. Smith appeared briefly after the case was called and the bond was ordered forfeited due to the circumstances.
