Boy Burned In House Fire On South Street
James Wicks Jr four year old son of Mr and Mrs James Wicks of South Street was badly burned early today. He woke, found matches on an ash tray, lit them sending papers on a couch to flame. His night dress caught as he tried to extinguish it. flames spread up stairs. Mrs. Wicks rushed out of bed and tore down a portiere to smother the fire. She saved him but he was burned on nearly all parts of his body.

An eight day battle in a motor boat during a Florida hurricane ended with a miraculous rescue of three Americans.
