Windstorm Triggers Power Outages Across Maine Seacoast
A windy storm left about 7,900 customers in York County without power, with 2,800 still without by 2 p.m. Tuesday. Across the region, fallen trees caused property damage as another gusty night loomed. A Portsmouth Harbor fishing boat broke free and wrecked on Peirce Island, while an awning at Shelton's Café in York Beach blew off and a tree toppled onto a parked car belonging to Peter and Sadie Blanchard.
