Man sues priest and diocese for 30 million in sex abuse case
Key West resident Daniel Brown 47 HIV positive filed a March 18 civil suit in Hillsborough County Superior Court seeking 30 million for emotional physical and financial damages after alleging he was raped in 1977 by Father Wilfred Houle in a Cabot Street Portsmouth apartment. Houle died of AIDS related respiratory arrest in 1987. Brown says he was coerced into a prior settlement and only now pursues justice as he learned of Houle's death in 2002 and fears ongoing health decline.
