Kittery voters select Republicans for moderator and town offices at the annual town meeting. Calvin I Hayes wins moderator with 289 votes over Holmes. Town officers including clerk, selectmen, treasurer, road commissioners and school board members are listed with party-prefixed tallies. Several measures approved or postponed and committees appointed for a new school at Kittery Point and railroad naming honors.
The last meeting will be in Peirce hall on Tuesday afternoon March 27. Whist runs from three to five with flowers home made cake and candy for sale from five to six. A liberal patronage is desired.
