Churches in this city sponsor Church Schools that teach denomination principles and Christianity. Over the past twenty years these schools have evolved from old Sunday school origins to modern programs with eager pupils. Parents should help by preparing children for attendance rather than driving them sport or leisure. The schools aim to equip the next generation better than before.
Washington reports snow in the northern portion with snow transitioning to rain in the southern portion tonight and Sunday. Temperatures are expected to rise slowly.

Paris reports France will begin debt negotiations once Andre de La Boulaye arrives in the United States on April 12. France has delayed action to acquaint the new ambassador with the subject and previously refused December payments. a Chamber of Deputies resolution highlighted the failure. Negotiations are expected with President Franklin D. Roosevelt soon.
Concord March 25 Plans are underway to lift state bank restrictions with a bill to empower Bank Commissioner Willard Rand to name conservators for savings banks and other state chartered institutions. He indicated a large majority could resume normal action, while a few banks may need protection. Rand stressed New Hampshire holds a fortunate banking position and declined to list institutions.
Concord March 25 Undismayed by the defeat of the 48 hour bill in the Senate yesterday a move was started in the House for a 50 hour week. Proponents planned to discuss over the weekend and draft a measure for action when the legislature reconvenes next Tuesday. Senate opposed reducing hours for women and minors. Governor Winant was visibly distressed.

Hele Frances Taylor and Robert Henry Wetterau wed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Mitchell in Kittery at noon. The bride, daughter of G. Taylor of Water ville, trained at Train Academy and Western Union School of Telegraphy, and employed in Waterville, Maine. Wetterau, son of Florence F. Wetterau of Washington Connecticut, attended Kingsley Prep and Colby College, and belongs to Kappa Delta Phi. The ceremony, led by Rev. Harold Young, featured a single ring service with Lohengrin’s wedding march. Attendants included Veresa Verroni and Errol L. Taylor. the couple plans a brief trip before visiting the groom’s mother in Connecticut.
Providence reports the New England Council plans its next quarterly meeting at the Marshall House in York Harbor Maine on June 24 with Maine Division officers John Baxter vice chairman and D W Hoegg secretary among attendees. The spring meeting is being held today with Edward P Ricker Jr as chair.

Berlin March 25 Capt Goering says persecution of any man for being a Jew will not be tolerated. He urges fairness in judging the German situation and argues that Jews and Socialists abroad hurt Germany by reporting unfavorably or organizing protests. He notes past excesses but says stringent measures are now in place, including the death penalty for further transgressors.
Evans Indiana March 25 flood conditions were revised downward as the crest nears the lower Ohio River sections. Residents of southwestern Indiana western Kentucky and southern Illinois who fled Ohio River floods expect only minor damage from overflow into lowlands with no major destruction anticipated.
The Citizens Community Committee announces free seed and fertilizer for unemployed locals through a garden program. State representative William M. Cheever notes applications must be filed with the Chamber of Commerce by April 1, with daily hours 9 to 5 until next Saturday.
