New Letter Box Installed At Police Station

A new letter box has been placed at the police station on the left side of the entrance to the city marshal's office. It was installed Wednesday afternoon by carpenter Everett McNabb after a special permit from the postmaster general. The old box in the officers quarters will be removed.

Seabrook Protest Denies Boston Local Wreck Claim

A Seabrook correspondent to the Newburyport News denies any attempt to wreck the Boston local Sunday night. He says no misplaced switch or telltale light was found and the track was clear as the train passed through town. Station officials condemn reports linking Seabrook station to the incident.

Near miss as milk horse blocks crossing at Manchester line

A 12:45 passenger train bound for Manchester barely missed a collision with a team near Manchester station on Wednesday the 7th. A milkman left a horse on Maska besh street near the crossing, the animal strayed onto the tracks, and a nearby clerk warned the outfit away just as the train swept past with about one hundred feet to spare.

Whist Party Held by Odd Ladies on High Street

The Odd Ladies hosted a whist party on Wednesday evening the 7th at the lodge rooms on High street. A large crowd attended with fifteen tables in play. Prizes awarded: Gentlemen's first J. M.
