Exeter town meeting will consider authorizing a Building Committee of seven to plan a new library. If approved, the panel appointed by the moderator would include three library trustees, three selectmen, and one other resident to hire an architect for preliminary plans, with $3,250 requested for the work. Polls open at 10 a.m. and close after 6 p.m.
North Hampton voters meet tomorrow at 7 30 p m in the echo building to decide a 190 016 budget including 96 000 for a new fire station and a fluoridation question. The warrant lists selectmen raises, road funds, a tax mapping plan, police cruiser, dump, and various town improvements with multiple candidates for town offices.
Voters will approve a $72,904 school district budget, $1,533 more than last year, with $36,455 to be raised by taxes. An article calls for a three-member planning committee including one school board member. School board election has no contest. Mrs. Albert D Antonia seeks the seat, replacing Mrs. Arthur Cole. Incumbent Robert Gross and challenger William J Wylde vie for selectman as two articles seek funding for an after burner and for a new dump site including land roads power and water. The town faces a 68000 appropriation with state aid and a 45000 local share plus 15000 state aid, budget plan totals 305624.
Voters will be open from 10 until 6 pm to decide five races for Newington town offices. Incumbent Gordon D. Hislop and Sidney H. Frick lead candidates for selectman with a town meeting tonight at 7 30 at the Civic Center.
Newmarket proposes a budget of 185,903 an increase of 24,000 from last year to be voted on at Lawn meeting Tuesday Polls at Town Hall run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with action on the warrant at 8 p.m. Robert L Filion seeks selectman seat to fill vacancy left by F Albert Sewall unopposed for continuance are Yvonne B Rousseau town clerk Albert Caswell Sr tax collector Severine Neal treasurer Eli Grandmaison trustee of trust funds.
Rollinsford voters will choose among three candidates for selectman including incumbent Leroy M. Lake and challengers Francis Thorsell and Sydney Northrup. Town warrants cover budget changes for summer highway work and a potential property reevaluation. The meeting also considers a police radio buy and funding for a new fire truck from the capital reserve fund.
In Epping there are contests for Highway Agent with Andrew Anderson facing Donald Beals, police chief Joseph Navelski against William Roate, and Building Inspector Maurice Robinson versus Stillman Packard. Incumbent George Bennett faces George Canan Bradford and Leonard Wenant for selectman. Other officials include Florence Caldwell library trustee Louisel tenant and Carl Carlson library trustee candidate. Budget 39855 with 13068 revenue leaves 36807 to be raised. Fire department needs include a new fire truck and reserve funds. Additional articles fund Five Hills Road Seacoast Development and Class V highways plus bicentennial raise.
