Committees were formed to supply food shelter care for children and to maintain communications. A seacoast Civic Patrol followed December 12 with Roy W Gillmore as Hampton president and Walter B Farmer as vice president.
Four members of a Maine family killed in Winter Street, Lewiston, may have their burials postponed as medical examiner Dr. Rome A. Beliveau orders further examination of the bodies. Services were planned for Mrs. Arthur Pellerin and her aunt Mrs. Flora Wentworth Currier at 2 p.m. today, with additional rites for Mrs. Pearl Stevens, and for her grandson George L. Stevens, 12, scheduled for tomorrow. Funeral plans proceed but burial could be delayed pending results.

Concord March 6 AP Gov lernor Bloods drive for economy in the State Liquor department was today said to have some of its major point with agreement by the Liquor commission to disperse with services of a number of employes. The commission said about 4 dozen jobs could be eliminated, reducing the department overhead. Members of the legislature will not meet Tuesday town nesting day, but they are also unwilling to work next Friday.
Concord March 6 AP The state legislature received a report from the State Tax Commission showing New Hampshire cities and towns cutting public expenditures. Total government cost in the 1939 fiscal year fell to 825,470,500, a reduction of 48,000 from the prior year, with expectations for further savings in 1940 ending June 30.
Maine local board 2 drafts twenty men from Greater Portsmouth area for a year of U S Army service starting March 1 in Portland. Names listed include Joseph Bradt Kenneth Crowley James Murphy Nathaniel Coleman William Fitts Kenneth Newson Repert Blake Donald Stover and more from York Eliot South Berwick Wells Ogunquit and York Village plus others from York Beach and Ogunquit.

Funeral services for Joseph H Emery, former Ports mouth resident, were conducted yesterday at St Bartholomew's church in New York City. Committal rites followed this morning at the Emery mausoleum in South Cemetery at 10 39, with Rev William Safford Jones of the Unitarian church presiding.

Chester Sherman a 28 year old from Epping is charged with entic ing a female child and is jailed in Portsmouth awaiting grand jury for April 4. He was arraigned in Epping court after running away with a 17 year old Epping High junior hitch hiking through Manchester Nashua. The girl is in juvenile court on probation and must report weekly to Probation Officer Edward Campbell.

Article two seeks to raise support town expenses per the budget chaired by John E. Anthes Net PB Philbries Robert W Read Elizabeth M Marden and Newell P Marden. Revenue sources total 65722.57 and expenditures 78746.59. Article three allows selectmen to borrow money from trustees of trust funds. Article four establishes enforceable land use and building regulations to promote health safety convenience and welfare.
