Missing kayaker enters second night search off Rye Maine
Contoocook man Hamilton Wood, 59, disappeared after launching a kayak Friday from Odiorne Point in Rye. Coast Guard crews and local units scoured six miles off Cape Neddick for Wood, last seen around 3 p.m. Friday, with search-and-rescue status as of Saturday morning.

Fire photographer on call for regional fire departments
Buzzell, 64, works as a volunteer photographer for Portsmouth, Rye, Greenland, North Hampton, Hampton and Newington fire departments. On 24 7 call, he jumps from bed at any alert to drive his plain CRV with a Nikon D70 to wrecks and blazes, despite no formal training and slow traffic. He says the work is for the departments and he is unpaid.
