New Hampshire Supreme Court Says Public Service Board Lacks Power
The New Hampshire Supreme Court rules the Public Service Commission has no authority to order railroad abandonments. The decision, handed down by Judge John E Aulen, states only the General Court may authorize discontinuances. It preserves limited PSC power to regulate, not to suspend or abandon lines like the Wing Road Fabyan branch of the Boston and Maine.
