Raymond School Board Rejects All High School Annex Bids
Raymond June 28 The Raymond School Board rejected all three bids for the proposed annex to the high and elementary school building as bids far exceeded the available funds about 36 000 with 15 785 from a PWA grant. Bidders were L E Maruel Davison Construction Manchester and William T Powers Concord. New bids will be sought with a one story 30 by 80 foot plan for elementary classrooms town offices and a fireproof vault while second floor classrooms will be abandoned. A three week extension to PWA is requested to receive revised bids.

Body found in river leads to murder charge arrest
Paul Bathelt 25 of New York was arraigned in Northampton district court on a murder count tied to a cement encased body recovered from the Connecticut River.
