Governor Sir John Hunter announced that arrests have disrupted an organization aiding the enemy in the Caribbean. About 15 persons were taken into custody Monday night as military authorities believe the group was conducting active assistance from the British Honduras area, which fronts the Caribbean roughly 750 miles northwest of the Panama Canal.
Major General Dwight D. Eisenhower arrived in London to assume command of American forces in the European theater. The War Department defined the theater as an area where combat is in progress or will be. James E. Cheney leads American forces in the British Isles, while Russel P.
