President Eisenhower flew to New Hampshire for a three day visit starting with a joint session of the Legislature at Concord. Outdoor plans faced possible showers though officials said heavy rain would be needed to move indoors. A 21 gun salute greeted the President at Concord Airport as a National Guard band played. Local lawmakers and business leaders joined in welcoming Ike, with a gift for Mamie from the General Court. The outdoor session marked a historic first outside the State House and the first presidential address to New Hampshire legislators since 1889.

Wentworth Acres and part of Admiralty Village in Kittery will be unloaded following DEFENSE Dept. relief of defense housing needs. Disposition requires appraisal and feasibility studies, with priority to municipalities for low rent. If Wentworth Acres proves feasible for low rent, it may be offered to the city and then turned to the Housing Authority for operation.
