Mrs Bridges Re elected President Of Women Fellowship

Mrs Daniel T Bridges was reelected president of the Women s Fellowship of the First Congregational Church at a supper meeting in the Old Parsonage Kittery Point Other officers were elected including Mrs Harry Powell first vice president Mrs R Warren Ferguson Jr second vice president and Mrs BE Maurice Russey third vice president Secretary was Mrs Henry Brooks with Assistant Secretary Mrs Horace Mitchell Assistant Treasurer Mrs Warry F True and Assistant Treasurer Mrs Reginald F Derry Also Mrs Alain Smart will again serve as auditor The nominating committee included Mrs Graham G Alvord More Joseph Smith and Mrs Marty Whetal with Mrs Lorey C Day named to the standing nominating committee The fellowship will provide hostesses at the Old Mansion from June 15 Sept 15 Plans for the annual summer outing near the Old Parsonage are underway A June 24 meeting will set plans for the coming year Forty women attended the first general membership meeting of the season set for Oct 7 at the Old Parsonage Other standing committee members were named including Mrs Carl Galle service Mrs Eldredge Woods missionary Res Joseph W Cutts budget and Bhatees Mrs Harold Moreen Old Parsonage house committee Miss Father Graham devotions Mrs George W Kent and Mrs Warren Delano program co chairs and Mrs Harold P Grace Jr membership and hospitality Mrs Brooks will supervise hostesses at the Lady Pepperrell House from July 1

Fourteen Die on Maine Roads in May Report States

State Police reported fourteen people died on Maine roads in May, four more than the previous year. Among the victims were eight drivers, four passengers, one pedestrian, and one bicycle rider. The report notes Wyner’s association with 12 of 28 fatal accidents in April and May.
